ODIN Security Screening System
Screening individuals for security threats is problematic at best using conventional technologies. X-ray machines fail to provide enough resolution to identify all threats, and metal detectors can not identify the full range of potential threats.
Recognizing the need for a better way to screen individuals for security risks, Valley Forge offers a new system which improves upon the earlier generation of backscatter x-ray devices. The ODIN Personnel Screening System is an Ultra-Low Dose Digital Radiographic Imaging System. It provides the ability to see through individuals, improving upon the limited field of view and depth of penetration of conventional backscatter devices while improving speed and accuracy of detection.
| Radiation | Meets the requirements of ANSI/HPS N43.17-2002 |
|---|---|
| Throughput | Up to 720 people per hour |
| Scan duration | <2 seconds |
| Scanning capacity | Almost any size (7' x 3' x 3') |
| Time from Scan to Imaging Analysis | <1 second |
| m N-m | 12 |
ODIN provides a high contrast sensitivity allowing it to see a wide range of materials including non-metallic items including sheet explosives hidden in clothing or in body cavities. ODIN provides a high level of privacy an convenience for persons being inspected and allows for the potential to scan individuals while they are holding small carry-aboard items on their person.
